  • July 2012 – Eric Miller is a recipient of the Academic Research Initiative Student Oral Presentation Award.
  • July 2012 – Alexis Poitrasson-Riviere is a recipient of the Valentin T. Jordanov Radiation Instrumentation Travel Grant for the 2012 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium.
  • April 2012 – Prof. Pozzi is the recipient of the 2012 NERS Outstanding Achievement Award.
  • April 2012 – Mark Norsworthy has received the 2012-2013 ANS Walter Meyer Scholarship.
  • March 2012 – Jennifer Dolan received the Susan Lipschutz Award, awarded
    to a Rackham student who has demonstrated exceptional scholarly

  • April 21, 2010 – Sara Pozzi presented the invited talk “Recent Advances and Upcoming Challenges in Nuclear Nonproliferation, Safeguards, and the Prevention of Nuclear Terrorism” at Los Alamos National Laboratory
  • April 11-14, 2010 – Professor Pozzi presented the status of the Academic Research Initiative project funded by DNDO/NSF titled “New Detectors, Electronics, and Algorithms for Fast Neutron Spectroscopy in a Scalable Measurement Platform” at the 2010 ARI Grantees Conference held in Alexandria, VA. The project is a collaboration including University of Michigan Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Physical Departments. Postdoctoral Fellow Mitaire Ojaruega and graduate students Jennifer Dolan, Chris Lawrence, Eric Miller, and Mark Bourne presented research results in poster presentations
